Milan, Italy - October 2008 - Fluidmesh Networks recently appointed Pergam Security Systems as its authorized distributor in Russia. This agreement will ensure that Fluidmesh products are accessible to a broader dealer base through Pergam’s distribution channels.
“This partnership with Pergam presents a unique opportunity to enter the Russian security market,” says Umberto Malesci, Fluidmesh Networks president and co-founder. “Russia is a new market for us and we’d like to bring there a specific know-how, technology and expertise to support customers in getting familiar with our technology and developing challenging wireless video surveillance projects.”
“We’ve eagerly awaited this opportunity to introduce the Russian market to the advantages of wireless mesh networking technology,” says Dmitry Karneev, Pergam Security Systems Division Manager. “Demand for this kind of communication is constantly growing. Cooperation between OAO Pergam-Engineering and Fluidmesh Networks opens the door to developing telecommunications in the sphere of security systems. From now on, our partners can benefit from using superior wireless solutions from the global leader, Fluidmesh Networks.”
Fluidmesh is now launching its new Fluidmesh 2200 Duo, the only wireless mesh networking product designed and manufactured specifically for video-surveillance applications. Fluidmesh 2200 Duo is a new, upgraded version of the Fluidmesh 2200 series of wireless mesh routers. The Duo unveils some major new features and innovations and will replace the original 2200. The new firmware released for the Duo’s launch comes out with the name of EasyMesh. It is a quantum leap in terms of ease of use compared to any competing wireless product and will allow wireless mesh to finally go mainstream.
Fluidmesh 2200 Duo wireless units take advantage of two radios simultaneously, operating one radio in the 2.4GHz and the other one in the 5GHz range. The dual radio configuration dramatically improves both performance and reliability.
Fluidmesh Networks designs and implements advanced routing and transmission protocols optimized for high-resolutions MPEG4 and M-JPEG video-streaming. Unlike any Wi-Fi solution, Fluidmesh Networks products implement advanced algorithms to improve wireless video-streaming, such as video-stream prioritization and multicast traffic support. Each Fluidmesh unit is capable of detecting the type of packet transmitted (i.e., TCP, UDP, etc.) and the video-encoding standard employed (i.e., MPEG4 I-frame, MEPG4 P-frame, M-JPEG) and optimizes its transmission based on that information. This kind of packet management guarantees shorter latency periods and a superior performing infrastructure.
