Milan, December 20th 2006. Fluidmesh Networks signed a partnership agreement with Mulder-Hardenberg Group, a leading importer and value-added distributor, to launch its innovative double-radio mesh networks in the Benelux.

Fluidmesh 2200 is a wireless product with “intelligent” transmission capabilities with unparalleled advantages compared to traditional point-to-point and point-to-multipoint solutions. Fluidmesh technology allows creating a redundant wireless network where every transmitter has multiple paths to forward the data. In addition, every Fluidmesh transmitter operates simultaneously on the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz range. The network is able to determine in real time the optimal path and the optimal frequency to use for the transmission.

The unmatched reliability and flexibility of the Fluidmesh system makes it optimal for security applications such as video-surveillance systems, which is what the company is specialized in. Fluidmesh has a long list of customers such as municipalities, police departments, industrial plants, resorts, and marinas.

“Fluidmesh Networks provides a solution which did not exist before. Everyone now has the option of choosing between running cables or going wireless. This is possible because we provide to our customers an innovative wireless product together with the required training and support to install and operate such an infrastructure. We don’t just manufacture state-of-the-art wireless products; we create working wireless systems. - states Umberto Malesci, Fluidmesh Networks president and co-founder – We are sure that the Mulder-Harderberg Group will be a great partner in launching Fluidmesh technology in Benelux”

One of the strengths of the Fluidmesh 2200 is the advanced transmission protocol specifically developed for video streaming in CCTV applications. Each Fluidmesh unit is capable of detecting the type of packet transmitted (es. TCP, UDP, etc.) and the video-encoding standard employed (es. MPEG4 I-frame, MEPG4 P-frame, M-JPEG). That information is then used to optimize the transmission. This kind of packet management guarantees a much better performing infrastructure with shorter latency periods.

“With the solutions that Fluidmesh offers in the wireless mesh transmission market for critical video-surveillance, Mulder-Hardenberg fills the need of it’s customer base for such solutions- says Kees Smit, Mulder-Hardenberg product manager for Fiber Optic and CCTV solutions - Mulder-Hardenberg has selected Fluidmesh for it’s ability to turn new technology into reliable products. With Fluidmesh products, Mulder-Hardenberg can offer it’s customers unbeaten system performance and system guarantees. Combined with it’s suite of complimentary products, Mulder-Hardenberg now offers a truly complete concept from camera through transmission and management.”
