FIPS 140-2 Validation
The U.S. Government requires that all networking products deployed for its federal agencies employ cryptographic modules that are FIPS 140-2 validated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). This requirement allows the Federal Government to be certain of the security policies, technologies and algorithms that their networks implement both in the US and overseas.
Fluidmesh has deployed a FIPS 140-2 Validated Cryptographic Library in the embedded wireless software of all its wireless products. NIST validated the library with certificate #1747, and the use of the FIPS 140-2 validated library makes Fluidmesh products usable in all federal deployments and networks.
The FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic module can be easily activated enabling a Fluidmesh software plug-in that does not require any hardware modification and is available for all products currently in production.
FIPS 140-2 validation is sometimes a requirement not only for selling wireless products to U.S. Federal Agencies but also to private organizations that fall under federal requirements concerning cryptography due to funding requirements or due to their structure.

Fluidmesh TitanTM Technology
Fluidmesh has a long history in supporting networking applications that require self-healing capabilities and redundant network architectures. However, there are two categories of mission-critical applications: those that require fast self-healing systems and those that must resolve any failure in the blink of an eye. Fluidmesh Titan is a technology specifically designed to handle failures in all those applications that can accept no more than 500 ms of network outage. Power failure, network failure, hardware failure, and environmental issues can all be handled with a 100% recovery in less than 500 ms when you activate Titan Technology in your Fluidmesh products.
Titan is a fail-over technology that implements a set of algorithms that can constantly track how every link, power input, and network port performs. In case of any failure, traffic is immediately rerouted to another Fluidmesh radio. With Fluidmesh Titan, failure detection, rerouting and re-establishment of full connectivity always takes less than 500 ms (and sometimes significantly less than that!).
For example, a Fluidmesh “mesh end” device that connects the mesh network to a fiber infrastructure might get damaged by a lighting strike. If Titan is enabled and an alternative Fluidmesh “mesh end” device is available in the network, in less than 500 ms the new device will take over the “gateway / mesh end” role in the network. Within 500 ms, any disruption in video or voice streaming will be resolved and traffic will not be affected in any material manner.
Titan is also the ideal technology for automation applications that require continuous wireless connectivity. For example, Fluidmesh wireless devices are often used to connect automated vehicles, trains and robots. In rail, If a wireless device turns off due to a power failure along a train line, the automated driverless train will leverage the fail-over algorithm to re-establish network connectivity in less than 500 ms. By re-establishing network connectivity in less than 500 ms, there are no real effects or risks on the autonomous operations of the train.

Fluidmesh RacerTM Technology
At Fluidmesh we TAKE the old saying “time is money” really seriously. Our new offering, Fluidmesh RacerTM, allows any Fluidmesh customer to reduce, by up to 90%, the time it takes to configure, upgrade and deploy a wireless network.
Racer is based on an advanced web interface integrated into the Fluidmesh Partner Portal (available at partners.fluidmesh.com). The web interface allows you to configure any Fluidmesh device you have purchased. The Racer web interface offers many features to speed up the configuration and the mass upgrade/update of all Fluidmesh products. For example, you can create configuration templates that you can quickly apply to dozens of units and avoid the need to update each device separately.
The Racer web interface also makes it easy to assign new software plugins to your Fluidmesh radios. Plug-ins are automatically assigned with one click without the need for complicated license or activation codes.
The user-friendly interface guides you through the configuration process, preventing you from making many common mistakes and leading you to the most effective set-up.
Once you are ready, your customized settings are pushed to the radio through a single file upload. This file also embeds the most recent firmware upgrade for the device, insuring that your network will remain up-to-date with little thought or effort.
We estimate that Racer can reduce the time it takes to configure a wireless network by up to 90%, also minimizing any possible mistakes that may occur during Network configuration.
